The best part of this place is their wonderful customer service.  The second best is the food, their fish taco salad was very nice.  My friend had the chicken cheese steak sandwich and he said it was very good.  And lastly, the music was very soothing and pleasant.  Thank you for a great lunch experience!!!!

PS. We took a carrot cake and and cookies home!  We will let you know how they are but they look  amazing so far.

Well hot damn! As marina bay gets more artsy urban and hip, the pressure increases in venues to keep up with the artisan beer, wine, coffee places starting to crop up all over marina bay and Point Richmond.
I've been here before for a quick lunch. The set up is a bit awkward as they mostly provide catering.
However, if you can get by the long lines, the complicated hand written menu, the quasi self serve approach, and the lunch room style seating long communal benches, you will be in for a treat.

The food is well crafted with thoughtful combinations of typical and atypical ingredients used in tasty ways to create a satisfying meal.

Various baked goods if all you want is a Peet's and a nosh. Oh yeah... considering four bucks is across the street, Peet's is a great alternative...

It's rather nice to be able to walk to this place on a Sunday for brunch. The food was plentiful, tasty and the atmosphere quite pleasant. As it turned out there was such a variety I had a difficult time deciding.

Hopefully the Sunday brunch experiment sticks and we have a very solid alternative that's walkable vs having to hop in the whip to go to the point or 4th st Berkeley.

I go here to sit and work on my computer and munch on their consistently delicious salads. Their thai salad, for example, is the perfect bowl. I enjoy the old jazz playlist, too.

This co-op does a great service to the local community and I very much appreciate the warmth you're greeted with when you step in.

Such a yummy little afternoon lunch! Great location with parking and indoor/outdoor seating. Reasonable pricing and the food was fresh and high quality.

We had the crab sandwich (so fresh, and not doused in mayo, would totally order again) and the artisan bowl with chicken and wild rice and sweet potatoes. I would order both again. The salad dressings all seemed house made and they had Peet's coffee freshly brewed.

If I worked near this cafe I'd be there everyday!

What I ate: Tululah salad, sweet potato fries
    Visit date: January 10, 2019
    First time? No.

I'd been here years before and had memorable bad experiences including soup that tasted like dog food. I rarely spit food out of my mouth and this was one of those occasions. But that was years ago and I work really close by so I decided to try Artisan again.

Today I went with something safe - sweet potato fries and a salad. I've never actually had fries that I didn't want to eat before. The sweet potatoes fries were burnt. The dipping sauce helped cover the burnt flavor but I stopped eating after a few fries. Whyyyy, howwww?

The salad had mandarin oranges, dates, jicama, and candied almonds, and was served with a citrus soy vinaigrette. The flavors were more on the sweet side, and I appreciated the fresh and bright lettuce. But if I'm to be completely honest I was a little scared to eat it. I know this probably happens all the time but this time I saw it! The person preparing my food was using her bare hands (that's fine) but touches their hair then went back to prepping my food. I also saw her put mandarin oranges on the salad bed and remove them, getting rid of the container of mandarins, then getting a fresh batch of mandarins to put in my salad. A+ for swapping them out but if something was wrong with them then there was still questionable residual mandarin juice on my salad.

I wish this place had better food and grossed me out less because the venue is really nice.
